Permission was granted for the erection of a stable block at Field 124020, Greenhill, Jurby Road, Andreas, on the Isle of Man. The site sits on the southern side of Jurby Road, within the curtilage of the field. The position of the stables was selected to minimise their visual impact on the wider landscape. Mature hedgerows and trees lining the northern and eastern boundaries of the site provide substantial screening, particularly for those travelling along Jurby Road. The application was approved on 20 February 2008 by a Senior Planning Officer acting under delegated authority, subject to five conditions.

Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This approval relates to the stable block as proposed in the submitted documents and drawings RC1, RC2 and RC3 received on 16th November 2007 and 8th January 2008.
Condition 3
Prior to the commencement of any building operations, there must be submitted to and approved by the Planning Authority a scaled detailed plan indicating the proposed hardstanding area. The hardstanding area is also required to provide a site turning area to ensure vehicles and horseboxes can turn on site and re-enter the highway in a forward gear.
Condition 4
Prior to the commencement of any works, there must be submitted to and approved by the Planning Authority, samples of the external finishes of the building.
Condition 5
The stables may only be used for the private use of keeping horses and related feed and equipment in association with the principal dwelling "Farrants Fort".
