14 July 2006 · Delegated
Garey House, Glen Tramman, Ramsey, Isle Of Man, IM7 2ap
This application sought permission to change the use of part of a field (Field No. 134401) adjacent to Garey House, Glen Tramman, Ramsey, extending the residential curtilage of the property into that field. The officer's assessment noted that the field is largely concealed from Lezayre Road by a substantial hedge, with the only visible access point being a gated entrance. As a result, the proposed encroachment into the field would not be readily seen from the public highway. The officer also flagged that a greenhouse indicated on the submitted plans had not been constructed. The application was approved on 14 July 2006 under delegated authority, with 2 conditions attached to the permission.
The application was approved on 14 July 2006 by the Director of Planning and Building Control under delegated authority. The key planning consideration was that the field sits behind a substantial hedge along Lezayre Road, meaning the extension of the residential curtilage would not be readily visible from the public highway. The officer also noted that a greenhouse shown on the plans had not yet been constructed.
