10 November 2005 · Committee
Temporary Site Supply, 1-3, Fairway Drive, Ramsey, Isle Of Man, IM8 2bq
The proposal covered changes to the existing car parking layout and the addition of boundary walling, fencing, and gates at The Pavilions, Fairway Drive, Ramsey — a site already developed with two apartment blocks containing fifteen apartments under earlier consents. The revised layout added two parking spaces compared to the previously approved arrangement. One local resident objected, raising concerns about the height and extent of the wall, the appearance of the gates, and the position of the car parking. The officer concluded that the additional parking was a positive benefit and that the proposed walling, fencing, and gates were acceptable. Planning Committee agreed and permitted the application.
The Planning Committee approved the application on the basis that the revised parking layout, which added two spaces, was a positive benefit for the residential development, and that the proposed boundary walling, fencing, and gates were acceptable in design and extent.
