Planning Committee resolved not to split the decision on the planning application by approving the car parking and side boundary fencing and refusing the front walling and gates.
SPLIT DECISION
APPROVED
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
This approval relates to the car parking layout and the erection of fencing along the eastern boundary as shown on drawing no.s 400, 439, 441 and 501 date stamped the 19th September 2005. No permission is hereby granted or conferred for the erection of walling along the southern boundary of the application site or the erection of gates by this approval certificate.
REFUSED
This refusal relates to the erection of walling along the southern boundary of the application site and the erection of gates. The Planning Committee considers these elements to be out of keeping with the character of the surrounding area and, as such, to be detrimental to the visual amenity of the surrounding street scene.
