This application sought retrospective approval for amendments made to a previously approved conversion of Chapel Court, Christian Street, Peel into apartments. The changes related to three earlier consents granted between 2002 and 2004. The Planning Committee permitted the application on 2 September 2005, approving it in accordance with a set of specified drawings. Three conditions were attached to the decision. The Planning Committee permitted the retrospective amendments on 2 September 2005. The approval was granted in accordance with the specified drawings, covering changes made to a previously approved conversion to apartments.
Condition 1
This approval relates to the works as shown on drawing numbers 300, 305, 306, 307 and 308 with the exception of the following elements which are not permitted as part of this approval: - The removal of the louver on round windows to the front of the building; - Decorative terracotta feature from the wall at front of the building; - External front lamp feature; - Up- lighting to the side of the building (Mona Street); - Feature lamps from Mona Street elevation; - Air conditioning unit on Mona Street; Ornamental bell to the Philip Christian Centre side; Satellite dish on Mona Street next to air- conditioning unit; Air conditioning unit on flat roof of dormer overlooking the Philip Christian Centre; and Excessive lighting/wattage to the front of the building.
Condition 2
The gable end round window onto Christian Street must be fitted with louvres within 2 months of the date that this decision becomes final.
Condition 3
The elements of the scheme which have been refused must be removed from the site and the areas made good, either returned to their original form or in accordance with the planning approval granted under PA 02/2192, as amended by PA 03/1474 and PA 04/468.
