Permission was granted for the erection of a block of six apartments with associated services and garaging on the ground floor at 21/22 West Quay, Ramsey. The site was a vacant parcel of land situated between generally tall existing buildings of varying heights. The Planning Committee approved the application on 7 September 2004. Officers noted that the building's design was generally in keeping with the character of the surrounding area, that each apartment would have a good principal outlook across the Quayside towards the sea, and that the proposed parking provision of 1.5 spaces per dwelling was acceptable. Six conditions were attached to the permission.

Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This approval relates to the location plan and drawing no.s 8914/2A, 8914/3A, 8914/4A, 8914/5A and 8914/6 date stamped the 7th July 2004.
Condition 3
Prior to the commencement of development samples (type, finish and colour) of the materials of construction must be submitted to and approved by the Planning Authority.
Condition 4
No unit shall be occupied until the car parking and turning area has been completed to the satisfaction of the Planning Authority.
Condition 5
The roof(s) must be finished in dark natural slate.
Condition 6
The parking spaces shall be allocated such that every apartment has a minimum of one parking space.
