Permission was granted for the erection of an agricultural building at Ballayockey, Ballayockey Lane, Regaby, Ramsey. The application was decided by the Planning Committee. The officer recommended approval, and the committee agreed. The building was considered necessary as part of a farm assurance scheme and its siting adjacent to the existing farm buildings meant it was well integrated with the established farm group. Approval was granted subject to four conditions.
The Planning Committee approved the application. The building was considered acceptable because it was required as part of a farm assurance scheme and was well related to the existing farm group, being located adjacent to existing farm buildings.
Wildlife Act 1990
Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This approval relates to drawing no.s I, II, III and 2805-01 date stamped the 12th January 2004.
Condition 3
It should be noted that the Isle of Man Water Authority have advised that the development is located in close proximity to a distribution water main and that they should be consulted before any works commence.
Condition 4
It should be noted that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry's Wildlife and Conservation Office have suggested that trees that are to be removed as part of this development may be used by nesting birds and/or bats. As the habitats of these animals are protected by the Wildlife Act 1990 the Wildlife and Conservation Office must be contacted prior to the removal of any trees in association with the development.
