7 April 2004 · Committee
21, Church Street, Peel, Isle Of Man, IM5 1hn
This application sought permission to replace windows and doors at 21 Church Street, Peel — a terraced property within the Peel Conservation Area. The proposal involved woodgrain uPVC sliding sash windows and a woodgrain effect uPVC door to the front elevation, and woodgrain uPVC casement windows to the rear. The case officer recommended refusal, noting that the proposed materials on the front elevation would be out of keeping with the conservation area, and the Conservation Section advised against the use of Mahogany uPVC. Despite this, the Planning Committee decided to approve the application. Permission was granted by the committee on 7 April 2004, subject to three conditions.
