Ballakermeen High School, St. Catherines Drive, Douglas, Isle Of Man, IM1 4be
Permission was granted for a temporary change of use of the grounds of Ballakermeen High School in Douglas, allowing the site to operate as a campsite in connection with the TT Races from 29 May to 15 June 2015. The site includes the school's access, playing field, parking areas, and shower and toilet block. The school sits in a built-up residential area, surrounded by housing, which made the impact on neighbouring residential amenity the central planning consideration. The Department of Infrastructure permitted the application, subject to four conditions. The case officer recommended approval, and no conflict between that recommendation and the final decision was identified.
