The Landscape has been designed to blend the new buildings into the surrounding natural landscape, with minimal formal areas and low ground cover plantings blurring out into the natural Glen.
The landscape is designed to: Create a natural parkland/woodland setting with a natural pond to increase the wildlife habitats.
Trees are planted at their mature spacing. Any necessary tree surgery, such as crown lifting or dead wood removal, would be carried out.
Stakes/ties/guys would be adjusted when necessary and stakes would be removed when the tree is firmly rooted into the ground
Shrubs are planted at the quantity per Square metre, as indicated on the planting plan schedule, in order to achieve coverage of the ground in 1-2 years after planting. Any plants that die (leaving obvious gaps) within 2 years would be replaced.
The ground around the plants is bark mulched (composted bark mulch) to conserve moisture and reduce weed growth. This mulch would be retained until there is cover of the ground. Weed growth would be removed to avoid competition with the planted shrubs
