Permission was granted for the installation of dormer windows and a roof light to the rear elevation of Burleigh, a single-storey detached property on the eastern side of Richmond Road, Ramsey. The officer assessed the proposal against the Ramsey Local Plan and concluded it would cause no adverse impact on the visual appearance of the street scene or the dwelling itself. The distance of approximately 23 metres between the proposed dormer windows and the nearest neighbouring property, along with mature hedgerows and trees along the boundary, supported the finding that the development was acceptable. The application was decided under delegated authority and was approved on 10 June 2008, subject to three conditions.

The application was approved by a delegated Senior Planning Officer. The officer found that the dormer windows and roof light would have no adverse impact on the appearance of the street scene or the dwelling itself, and the approximately 23-metre separation from the nearest neighbouring property supported the decision.
