Isle Of Man Education, Castle Rushen High School, Arbory Road, Castletown, Isle Of Man, IM9 1re
Permission was granted for the siting of two mobile classroom buildings to the rear of Castle Rushen High School in Castletown, along with the installation of double doors to replace an existing window. The application was decided on 22 August 2007 under delegated authority. The officer report noted that the mobile classrooms would remain within the built curtilage of the school and would not intrude into the surrounding open space or playing fields. The rear of the school is largely screened from close view, with only properties in Close Cairbre and Close Malew having a direct sightline, limiting the visual impact on nearby residents. The application was approved with four conditions attached.
