Permission was granted for the construction of a workshop and factory building with associated office accommodation and car parking on a vacant site opposite JCK Port View, Balthane Industrial Estate, Ballasalla. The site was an unbuilt plot used for parking and storage, located to the south west of the spine road through the industrial estate. It forms part of a larger site that already held permission for industrial development. The application was amended during the process to rearrange the parking layout, providing 15 spaces running at right angles to the road. Permission was granted with 6 conditions.
The application was approved by the Director of Planning and Building Control under delegated authority. Permission was granted for the construction of a workshop and factory building with offices and car parking on a vacant site within Balthane Industrial Estate.

Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This permission relates to the erection of an industrial building as shown and described in drawings WL/07/1025/1B and the site plan both received on 22nd August, 2007 and the location plan received on 26th June, 2007.
Condition 3
There must be no discharge of surface water to the main foul sewer.
Condition 4
The proposed development must be connected to the main foul sewer.
Condition 5
The only processes which may be undertaken within the site are dry industrial processes only and the only discharges which will be accommodated in the public foul sewer are domestic sewage from WCs and canteens.
Condition 6
Prior to the use of any cladding, the colour of all cladding to be used in the development, including roofing, must be approved by the Planning Authority.
