The Old Vicarage, Barracks Road, Port St. Mary, Isle Of Man, IM9 5lp
Permission was granted to convert the ground floor of a barn at The Old Vicarage, Port St Mary, into ancillary accommodation and to erect a conservatory. The site sits within the curtilage of the Vicarage associated with Rushen Parish (Trinity) Church, to the north of Barracks Road and west of Church Road. The officer noted that the barn is well screened from the road and is only visible when passing the church's lych gate, where it reads as a modern building rather than an older modified barn. The decision was made under delegated authority and four conditions were attached to the approval.
The application was approved by the Director of Planning and Building Control under delegated authority. The barn sits within the curtilage of the Old Vicarage and is well screened from the road, with only a modern-looking structure visible from the lych gate.
