Riverside Cermaics, 12b, Tromode Estate, Carrs Lane, Tromode, Douglas, Isle Of Man, IM4 4qd
Permission was granted to convert Units E and F at Tromode Estate, Douglas, from a warehouse into a combined warehouse and bathroom and tile showroom. The officer noted that the estate's overall character was already becoming more diverse, with uses ranging from car body repairs to furniture sales. The proposed showroom use was considered to fit within this mixed commercial environment. Twenty car parking spaces were available on site, though some difficulties with tandem parking were noted for five of them. The application was approved under delegated authority on 30 October 2006, subject to two conditions.
The application was permitted by the Director of Planning and Building Control under delegated authority. The estate was already home to a diverse range of uses, and the addition of a bathroom and tile showroom alongside the existing warehouse use was considered acceptable in that context. Twenty car parking spaces were available on site.
