Re: Planning Application no. 05/92187, Slurry store at Ballakissack Farm, Santon
With reference to the above planning application, I need to make the recommendation that the outflow pipe from the slurry store should have 2 lockable valves fitted as per the recommendation contained in “The Code of Good Agricultural Practice for the protection of Water”. (DAFF, DLGE, IOM Water Authority Dec 2000).
It should be noted that the previous installation on this premises did not have the benefit of lockable valves and a recent serious pollution incident could have been avoided if they were installed.
