29 November 2005 · Delegated
24, Perwick Road, Port St. Mary, Isle Of Man, IM9 5pa
Permission was granted for the erection of a sun lounge to the rear of a detached house at 24 Perwick Road, Port St. Mary. The structure would measure 4 metres by 4.5 metres, built in masonry with a solid tiled roof incorporating four rooflights. Some rearrangement of the existing patio and minor excavation into the rear garden were also involved. The property sits within a residential area on the southern side of Fistard Road between Fistard and Port St. Mary.
The application was approved by the Director of Planning under delegated powers. The proposed sun lounge was considered acceptable given its modest size, its position to the rear of the property, and the fact that the site sits within a designated residential area. The officer noted it was only slightly larger than what would have been permitted without a formal application. The formal decision record lists 2 conditions.
Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This permission relates to the erection of a sun room as shown in drawings AT 761.1 and -.2 both received on 14th October, 2005.
