In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 2 December 2005, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The proposed demolition of a dwellinghouse would be contrary to Planning Circular 1/88 and Housing Policy 12 of the emerging Isle of Man Strategic Plan in that:
i) the proposal will result in the loss of a traditional farmhouse from the countryside; and ii) the Planning Committee considers that the dwelling can be renovated and that demolition of the existing building is unnecessary and unwarranted. (Signature) (Signature)
- This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
