Re: PA 05/02034/B - Erection of a replacement garage 1 Rowany Terrace, Rowany Villas, Port Erin, Isle of Man
The above mentioned applications have been considered by the Network Planning Section and the following observations will be forwarded to the Planning Committee of the Department of Local Government and the Environment as the response of the Director of Highways on behalf of the DOT Highways Client Group.
Objection:
- The planning application is for a double garage. The doorway to the garage is too narrow to permit the passage of two vehicles.
- The rear access lane is three metres wide and to afford adequate space to access the garage the internal dimensions must be increased.
Reason:
In the interests of road safety.
