2 November 2005 · Committee
122, Maghergarran, Port Erin, Isle Of Man, IM9 6da
Permission was granted for a two-storey extension to the side and a conservatory to the rear of a semi-detached house at 122 Maghergarran, Port Erin. The property sits on the southern side of the estate alongside an area of public open space. The two-storey extension was designed with its ridge level 0.25 metres lower than the main roof ridge and set back 960 millimetres from the main front elevation, limiting its prominence. The rear conservatory, measuring 4.5 metres by 3.15 metres and 2.9 metres in height, was found to comply with the requirements of the applicable permitted development order. The application was decided by the Planning Committee, which permitted it on 2 November 2005.
The Planning Committee permitted the two-storey side extension and rear conservatory. The extension's ridge was designed to sit 0.25 metres below the main roof ridge and set back from the front elevation, reducing its visual impact. The conservatory met the requirements of the applicable permitted development order. The formal decision record lists 3 conditions.
