2 August 2005 · Committee
12, Close Y Locker, Union Mills, Isle Of Man, IM4 4lx
This was a retrospective application for a garden shed already erected in the rear garden of 12 Close Y Locker, Union Mills. Because the shed had been built before permission was sought, the application asked the committee to formally approve what was already in place. The officer's report noted that the shed sits very close to the house — just 0.32 metres away — and approximately half a metre from the boundary with the neighbouring semi-detached property. It also sits directly in front of a rear window of the house. Despite these proximity points, the application was recommended for approval. The Planning Committee approved the application on 2 August 2005, with one condition attached to the permission.
The Planning Committee approved the retrospective application for the garden shed. The officer also recommended approval. The shed sits close to the house and boundary, but the application was found acceptable on balance.
