Officer's Report
The site represents the existing curtilage of the premises of Magic Carpets - a carpet showroom located within the industrial area in the heart of High Foxdale. The site accommodates an existing warehouse which it is proposed to extend by a further 10m by 7.5m with two floors all showroom. The extension will be slightly smaller than the main ridge. Four new parking spaces will be provided at the south western end which now addresses the concerns of the DoT ht.
The applicant has confirmed that the company has vehicles but these are off site for nearly all of the day and that staff vehicles should not take up customers' spaces. He has also confirmed that other carpet warehouses do not have an abundance of parking spaces and this situation is satisfactory.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
C 2. This permission relates to the alterations and extensions shown in drawing AT 725.1 rev 1 received on 29th June, 2005.

N 1. The applicant is encouraged to make provision for access and use of the building by unassisted wheelchair users.
