In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr & Mrs A Brooke Proposal: Conversion of guest house into five apartments (Resubmission), at: 4 Woodville Terrace Douglas IM2 4HA
which was considered on 22 April 2005, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The proposed parking provision is inadequate in terms of numbers and nature, in that there are only three on-site spaces (for five flats), and two of those are very tight and block each other in.
- The environment of and outlook from Flat 3 would be poor, and contrary to the Department’s policies as set out in Planning Circular 2/88.
- This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
