The proposal involved slope stabilisation works at Dhoon Glen on the Main Road near Dhoon, Ramsey. Following a recent landslip, the works comprised the installation of gabion baskets and re-grading of the affected slope to prevent further movement. The officer concluded that the works were necessary to address an active land stability problem and recommended approval. The Planning Committee agreed and granted permission, subject to three conditions including a requirement to commence works within four years and compliance with the approved plans.

The works were judged necessary to prevent further land slippage at the site.

   Condition 1

   The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

   This approval relates to the location plan, site plan and section plan date stamped the 30th December 2004.

   Condition 3

   Prior to the commencement of works full detailed drawings must be submitted to and agreed with the Department of Transport Drainage Division.
