17 January 2005 · Committee
Ballamin Cottage, Lhen Road, Bride, Isle Of Man, IM7 4bg
Permission was granted for alterations and extensions to Ballamin Cottage on Lhen Road, Bride, to provide additional living accommodation including a garage and a self-contained granny flat. The officer's report noted that the alteration to the south west elevation — the side most visible from the nearest road — was relatively modest. Views of the site from the north were described as distant, reducing the overall visual impact of the proposal. Traffic impacts and fire safety were also considered as part of the assessment. The Planning Committee approved the application on 17 January 2005, in line with the officer's recommendation.
