which was considered on 27 August 2004, for the reasons set out in the attached schedule.

REASONS FOR REFUSAL
Application Ref No: 04/01431/GB
- Given that there is no historical evidence to suggest that the building originally
benefited from a dormer window to the front elevation, it is considered that this addition, together with the timber pulley post and balcony represent an incongruous addition to this Registered Building and one which would detract from the authenticity, appearance, and character of a Registered building within the Castletown Conservation Area.
- This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance
with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
