In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Dandara Commercial Ltd Proposal: Change of use of land as temporary builders compound at: Fields 521888 & 521895, Between Cooil Smithy And Ballacottier Cottage Cooil Road Douglas
which was considered on 10 March 2005, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

Schedule Of Conditions:
- This approval relates to the temporary use of the site as defined in the location plan received on 24th June, 2004 as a builder's compound for the storage and sorting of builders' equipment and materials. The materials may only be stored in the main part of the site and not in the narrow part of the site (field 521888) which extends to Ballacottier Cottage.
- The site may be used as above by Dandara Commercial Ltd and their associated companies only and for a period ending on 31st August, 2005 or on completion of
the new compound adjacent to the Energy From Waste Facility, whichever is the sooner.
- There may be no inert material or waste brought to or stored on the site.
Note: this is in order to prevent dust emanating from the site alongside what is a Principal Traffic Route and alongside which developments of quality are being encouraged.
- The applicant must, within 28 days of the date of this notice submit a detailed landscaping scheme which will introduce additional planting to reinforce the existing roadside vegetation using species complementary to the planting which will be introduced at the entrance to The Barley Field industrial development. Such planting once approved must be introduced prior to November, 2005.
- No material or equipment may be stored at a height exceeding 4m as measured from natural ground level.
- It is unlikely, given the visual impact of the material and equipment stored, that permission will be forthcoming for any extension to this temporary use beyond the twelve months hereby approved.
This review has been considered by the Planning Committee on written evidence. Any additional submissions not previously circulated to interested parties are enclosed herewith.
Note 1: This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning Acts and does not include any consent or approval under any other enactment, bylaw, order or regulation.
Note 2: No works may be commenced until such time as -
- the time for requesting an appeal in relation to the decision has expired; or
- any appeal has been completed.
Note 3: Rights of the appeal against the decision of the planning committee are attached.
Note 4: An appeal must be requested within a period of 21 days.
