13 May 2004 · Delegated
Rudder House, Westbourne Close, Ramsey, Isle Of Man, IM8 2es
The proposal involved creating a self-contained apartment within the lower ground floor of Rudder House, Westbourne Close, Ramsey, along with the installation of an additional window in the front elevation. Internally, the conversion would turn a bedroom into a lounge with an outlook to the front of the property. The Fire Prevention Officer had raised concerns, but these were resolved through internal amendments to the scheme before the decision was made. Car parking was considered adequate given the existing provision on site, and the new window was judged to have no adverse impact. The officer concluded the proposal was in accordance with Planning Circular 2/88 and recommended approval, which was granted by delegated decision. A condition requires all flats to be registered and comply with the Housing (Flats) Regulations 1982.
