Application number: 03/1703 ### Page of #### Planning report and recommendation ##### General Report Site visited: yes The site represents the curtilage of Robinsons fruit and vegetable packing and packaging plant situated on the southern side of the Cooil Road (A24). Proposed here are internal alterations which result in the need for an extension on the eastern side and another smaller annex on the northern side. The smaller of the two extensions is simply an extension of the existing covered storage area. The larger of the two extensions is somewhat different from the existing structure in terms not of material but of roof pitch which is lower than that of the adjacent buildings. The building will also be clearly seen from the main road although some planting has been introduced between the road and the extension and is planned alongside the road which will eventually help screen the proposed building and the existing ones, from the road. The proposed building will also be visible, but from a greater distance, from Richmond Hill. The site is, however, unashamedly industrial and the proposal will not detract from that. There are no objections to the proposal and the nature of the goods stored require that as much storage space as possible is available - hence the shape of the roof. #### Summary of objections/views - Braddan Parish Commissioners - OK - Department of Transport Drainage Division - OK subject to note relating to drainage - Department of Transport Highways and Traffic Division OK #### Recommendations ApprovedSigned: __________________________ Date: __________________________ Date: __________________________ ## Conditions Of Approval 1.
