Reasons For Refusal

- Whilst the Committee has considerable sympathy with the applicant in terms of the length of time taken to progress the Laxey and Lonan Plan together with the fact that the Inspector appointed to chair the public inquiry into the plan specifically recommended that the development of this site is acceptable, the fact remains that the Laxey and Lonan Plan has not yet been considered by Tynwald and as such an approval for development on this site would be judged premature until the area plan process has been exhausted.
