The application sought permission to create a water cascade and amphitheatre across fields at Ballavale Road, Santon. The site comprises open land in a rural setting. The Planning Committee determined the application and granted permission on 28 January 2014, subject to four conditions. The Committee permitted the development on the basis that it would not harm the character and quality of the landscape. Four conditions were attached to the permission.
Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This approval relates to the creation of an amphitheatre and water cascade as shown in the following drawings: P011 P012 P017 P105 P303 P304 P305 P902 P903 X003 X007 X901 X902 all received 15th July, 2013.
Condition 3
Prior to the commencement of works there must be submitted to and approved by the Planning Authority a statement of usage for the amphitheatre outlining times and frequency of usage and arrangements for transportation and parking and the amphitheatre may only be used thereafter in accordance with this statement.
Condition 4
No approval is hereby granted or implied to any importation or exportation of material in association with the approved works unless authorised by the Planning Authority.
