The underlying permission (23/00939/B) approved the conversion of two existing barns into a two-storey dwellinghouse with a single-storey extension, tourist accommodation use, parking, landscaping, and ground-mounted solar panels. Condition 6 of that permission required a landscaping scheme for a wildflower meadow to be submitted and approved before work could proceed. This application provided the required details, including a defined area for the meadow and a planting scheme. The DEFA Ecosystem Policy Officer reviewed the submitted documents and confirmed they satisfied the relevant clauses. The Principal Planner was satisfied that the submission was sufficient to achieve the desired outcome and would result in a wildflower meadow appropriate to the Manx open countryside.
The submitted landscaping details, including the defined wildflower meadow area and planting scheme, were judged sufficient to meet the requirements of Condition 6. The DEFA Ecosystem Policy Officer confirmed the documents satisfied the relevant clauses, and the Principal Planner approved the details on that basis.
