PA 11/01764/B Colby AFC Lighting scheme for the car parks associated with club house and sports pitches Clubhouse and Sports Pitches land south of Railway Station Colby ### Supplemental Report At the Planning Committee meeting held on the 10th December 2012, the Planning Committee determined to overturn the recommendation of the Case Officer and refused the application for the following reason: R 1. The proposed lamp columns would be an intrusive feature in the countryside during both daytime, as a result of their urbanising effect and during the evening and nighttime, as, whilst acknowledging the level of illumination is not to be excessive, would still result in light glow that would be in contrast with the otherwise dark skies and thus be detrimental to the area.
