PA 11/01430/A Approval in principle for the re-location of the farm dwelling and buildings Field 114101 Ballakilley Farm Lambhill Road Cranstall Bride Isle of Man
This statement has been prepared to provide information to the Inspector as there will be no Highway Officer available to attend the appeal.
Lambhill Road is a single track road with few passing places; other than a single bend there is good forward visibility between the proposed access and the junction with the A10.
There are currently very low levels of traffic using Lambhill Road and it serves approximately 5 properties. The traffic generated by the proposed development will not pass any other properties or accesses as it approaches the junction with the A10.
Visibility at the junction with the A10 is adequate for the proposed additional traffic; the junction and the link to the appeal site are currently operating well below capacity and should be capable of absorbing the additional traffic generated by the proposal.
The proposed access is required to have visibility splays of $2.4\mathrm{m} \times 36\mathrm{m}$ which can be achieved over land within the applicant's control.
