Permission was granted for the installation of three additional tourist accommodation huts on the campsite at Field 411363, Glendown Farm, Truggan Road, Port St. Mary, Isle of Man. The application was made by Derek and Jane Cain and decided on 22 January 2018. The site is a sloping field to the east of Glendown Farm, at the south-eastern edge of Port Erin but within the parish of Rushen. It had recently been the subject of works to create a campsite, and there is a planning history of related applications at the site. The committee approved the proposal, with six conditions attached to the permission.

article 14
To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013
Condition 1
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice.
Condition 2
The units hereby approved may not be used between the end of October and the first week in April, or Easter, whichever is the earlier.
Condition 3
No other glamping units or camping pods may be erected on the remainder of the site, which may only be used for motorhome parking and tented camping as shown in the proposed site plan received on 15th November, 2017.
Condition 4
Within one month of the erection of the structures hereby approved, the external metalwork of the proposed huts must be coloured dark green and shall be retained as such thereafter.
Condition 5
No development shall take place until full details of soft landscaping works have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department and these works shall be carried out as approved.
Condition 6
The tourist huts hereby approved shall be removed and the ground restored to its former condition within 6 months in the event that they are no longer used or required for tourist purposes.
