PLANNING STATEMENT Applicant: David Rigby Address: 8, Spring Gardens, Douglas, IM1 3JN Details of Application: The erection of a single storey rear extension to replace the existing outbuildings, plus a new front porch. Description of the House:
The house is a traditional end terraced property of three stories, with rendered elevations and a slate roof, with windows in white upvc.
At the rear of the property is a single storey conservatory with masonry walls and a glass roof, this leads to a small utility room with a WC in an attached extension. The walls of the conservatory, utility room are finished with rendered walls, the WC has stone walls.
To the rear of the conservatory there is a small yard with a gate leading to the rear service lane.
Description of the Proposed Works:
To remove the existing conservatory, utility room and WC and to replace these with a new kitchen with a family area to the rear and a small WC. The extension will have rendered walls to match the house, a slate-look roof with roof lights and windows and French doors in white upvc.
At the front a new small porch is proposed, with a footprint of 2.2m2 the porch will have rendered walls to match the house, a pitched slate-look roof and a side window in white upvc.
Parking Arrangements:
The parking provision is on street at the front of the house and this will remain unaltered.
