Good morning Andrew and thank you for your letter regarding the 40 Peel Road appeal.

I can confirm that the Council's Environmental Services Committee considered the planning authority's refusal of the application at a meeting held on the 16th September when the decision was taken not to attend any subsequent appeal hearing or to submit any new documentation.

The Council's comments on the application have already been made known and are available on the planning portal.

You may be aware that the Council had originally raised an objection however the applicant's amendments were then reviewed at which point it was believed that amended drawings had addressed the Council's grounds for raising an objection. Our original objection related to waste/recycling storage inadequacies and highway related matters which have now been addressed.

The Council has now withdrawn its objection. On this occasion we will not be adding any further comments neither would we have attended an appeal hearing should one had been requested. If necessary and not already done so please feel free to share our existing comments with the independent appeals inspector along with the content of this email. Best wishes, Steve
