In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Regulations the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 19th March 2009, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The proposed application would be contrary Environment Policy 37 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007 by reason of its scale and design in that sign 2 is a unduly prominent and incongruous feature to the street scene, which does not preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the Conservation Area and is detrimental to the visual amenities of the locality. 26
This decision was made by the Acting Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.

- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
