The site represents the residential curtilage of the Lauderdale, Strang Road, Union Mills, Braddan, which is part of a pair of two storey semi-detached properties located on the northern side of Strang Road.
The site has been zoned under the Braddan Local Plan as being within an area of 'predominately residential use'; the site is neither within a Conservation Area nor within an area zoned as High Landscape Value or Costal Value and Scenic Significance.

The application seeks approval for the installation of a replacement front door and frame. The proposal would replace the existing door and frame which is not the original, with a more traditional uPVC door and frame.

The Authority has received no privately written representations objecting to the application.
ASSESSMENT
The existing door and frame are not the original frames and would appear to have been installed fairly recently. The proposals, whilst in uPVC, are designed to be more traditional in appearance and therefore more in keeping with the traditional property. Accordingly, it is recommended the application for an approval.
It is considered that the following meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status:
