Officer's Report
The proposal is relatively minor and will not adversely affect the visual amenities of the locality.
Inland Fisheries of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry have commented that no development must take place within 8 metres of the watercourse. The proposed works are to an existing building which is set 20m away from a watercourse and therefore will not impact on the watercourse
I therefore recommend that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.
Party Status
The Department of Transport and the local authority are, by virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005, paragraph 6 (5) (c) and (d), considered "interested persons" and as such should be afforded party status.
Inland Fisheries of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry do not have sufficient interest in the application, as the proposed works are to an existing building which is set 20m away from a watercourse and should not be afforded party status in this instance.
