The site represents the residential curtilage of 7 The Church View, Braddan, Douglas, which is a two-storey detached property located on the northern side of Church View which is a residential cul-de-sac.
The site has been zoned under the Braddan Local Plan as being a "predominately residential"; the site is not within a Conservation Area, nor is the site within an area zoned as High Landscape Value or Costal Value and Scenic Significance.
There are no previous planning applications which are considered relevant in the assessment and determination of this application.
The application seeks approval for the installation of additional window.

The Authority has received no privately written representations objecting to the application.
Assessment / recommendation
The proposal is a minor alteration to the existing dwelling, which will have no adverse impact upon the neighbouring residential amenities nor upon the visual appearance of the dwelling or street scene. For these reasons the proposal would be appropriate in this location. Accordingly, it is recommendation the application for an approval.
