This application sought permission to use the yard at Brookfield House, Main Road, Foxdale for vehicle storage. The committee refused the application on 23 June 2008. The officer's report identified three main planning concerns: whether the proposed use was acceptable in principle at this location, the visual impact of storing vehicles on a site elevated above the main road and the nearby properties of Brookfield Terrace, and highway safety. On highway safety, the officer observed that vehicles were parked either side of the vehicular access onto the main road, making it hazardous to exit the site. Around 30 vehicles were present on site at the time of the visit.
