Planning History

Proposal
The application seeks approval for the erection of equipment and meter cabinets.
Representations
7 April 2008 08/00267/B Page 1 of 3
Highways Division:- no objection
The Authority has received no privately written representations objecting to the application.
Assessment / Recommendation
The proposals are very minor additions to the mast and the site, the proposed cabinets and associated cabling are limited in size and would have no adverse impact upon the visual amenity of the surrounding countryside. Additionally, the installation of the three antennas on the mast, are relatively small in size and will not result in any significant impacts upon the surrounding countryside. The proposals will provide coverage for Cable \& Wireless network, which currently has very low signal levels in this area. The proposals will also be located on an existing tower and not require an additional tower to be installed.
For these reasons the proposals would be appropriate in these locations and therefore my recommendation is for an approval.
Party Status
I consider that the following meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status:
Bride Parish Commissioners Department of Transport Highways Division
