Lezayre Parish Commissioners Response
Miss Marie Connan Acting Senior Secretary Planning Committee Department of the Local Government and the Environment Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas IM1 2SF
19 December 2007
Dear Marie
The Commissioners wish to submit their views on the following planning applications:-
PA07/02136/REM Mr Nigel Quirk, Plot Of Land Adjacent To The Vicarage Churchtown, Ramsey. Reserved matters application for the erection of a dwelling. This application has been brought forward from the last meeting as requested. Mrs Quane declared an interest and did not join in with the discussion. Refused Majority 3-1. The Commissioners agreed that the style was over ornate in detail especially the windows and the brickwork and that the proposed dwelling was too big for the plot. They were also very concerned about the number of trees which would need to be felled and noted that the Arboricultural Survey had not been updated since it was first submitted in 2002.
PA07/02226/B Mr S Smith, Erection of a replacement detached garage, Sunnyside Cottage, Glen Auldyn. Refused Majority 4-1. The Commissioners agreed that the proposed replacement detached garage would obscure visibility on this blind bend, which could be very dangerous as it is only a single track road.
Yours Sincerely
Mrs Ros Cringle Clerk to the Commissioners
