Refusal Notice 07/01704/B
Town and Country Planning Act 1999
Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005
Kinrade Associates Limited Stella Maris Mountain Road Ramsey Isle of Man IM8 2JJ
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: G J Ingham & Sons Limited Proposal: Erection of extensions to existing agricultural building at: Lower Carnagrie Farm Track From Slieau Whallian Road Lower Foxdale Isle of Man
which was considered on 15th November 2007, for the reasons set out below.
Date of Issue: 21st November 2007
Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
Deputy Secretary to the Planning Committee
Reason(S) For Refusal:
- There is no information in the application to justify the further extension of the existing agricultural buildings or to explain why these are "essential for the conduct of agriculture or forestry" (General Policy 3g of the Strategic Plan). Furthermore, it cannot be ignored that there are contemporaneous applications for the change of use of the site as a builder's yard which would cast further doubt on the agricultural need for further agricultural floor space.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
