Site

The site Old Chapel, Main Road, Union Mills, is located on the northern side of Peel Road.

Land Use Zoning

The property has been zoned under the Braddan Parish District Plan (Planning Circular 6/91) as being within an area of predominately residential use; the site is not within a Conservation Area.

Proposal

The application proposes the Installation of conservation styled roof lights to the east and west elevations.

Representations

We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application.

Assessment / Recommendation

The proposals are an acceptable addition to the property which would be conservation styled roof lights which I consider to be of a appropriate design for this type of building. I consider the proposal will not create any adverse impacts upon the visual amenity of the property or upon street scene.

For these reasons the proposal would be appropriate in this location and therefore my recommendation is for an approval
