1.0 The present proposal is to extend the existing Factory to the North i.e., towards the rear service road.
2.0 The use of the extension is to provide covered loading and unloading facilities; this operation currently takes place externally in the same location.
3.0 The materials envisaged are entirely as presently exist for Roof and Mansard cladding both in profile and colour, the extension roof is a continuation of the existing building.
4.0 In addition to the extension, the site works envisaged are the formation of car parking and marshalling area for goods vehicles to enter and exit the area in forward direction. The application includes a new entry onto the service road.
5.0 It is not envisaged that there will be significant increase in heavy goods traffic as this operation already takes place via the existing entrance to the service road.
6.0 It is intended to instigate better traffic management by way of a one-way system around the factory.
7.0 The application seeks to improve the present loading and storage area by the provision of depressed loading docks. Enclosed is an extension matching the existing factory in all respects.
