Permission was granted to alter and convert two stone-built former agricultural outbuildings at Knocksharry Farm, Ramsey Road, Peel, into a residential dwelling. The application was decided by the Planning Committee of the Department of Local Government and the Environment. The buildings are located at Knocksharry Farm in the parish of German. Although visible from the road, they are seen within the wider context of the farm complex. The case officer recommended approval, and the committee agreed, granting permission on 19 June 2007 subject to seven conditions. A previous related planning application (06/01722/B) was noted in the planning history for this site.

Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This approval relates to Drawing Numbers SG101; 102; 001; 002; 003; 004 and 005 submitted as part of this application and date stamped 16th March 2007.
Condition 3
The roof(s) must be finished in dark natural slate.
Condition 5
All existing stonework must be retained as such and must not be rendered, painted or similarly treated.
Condition 6
Notwithstanding the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (Permitted Development) Order 2005 (or any Order revoking or re-enacting that Order) no extensions or garages, shall be erected (other than those expressly authorised by this approval.)
Condition 7
Notwithstanding the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (Permitted Development) Order 2005 (or any Order revoking or re-enacting that Order) no external doors, roof lights or windows shall be replaced (other than those expressly authorised by this permission).
Condition 8
For the avoidance of doubt, the residential curtilage is defined as the area edged in red in Drawing Number SG101.
