Air Quality Monitor Station, Richmond Hill Transmitter Building, Richmond Hill, Douglas, Isle Of Man, IM2 3ap
Permission was granted for the installation of two temporary pump-up masts at the Arqiva Richmond Hill Transmitter Station in Braddan, Isle of Man. The decision was made by the Planning Committee on 19 March 2007. The site already hosts a single-storey building, a 10-metre monopole used by Manx Telecom, and an equipment cabin. It is zoned as a transmitter site within the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Braddan Parish District Local Plan) 1991, and sits around 400 metres north of the New Castletown Road (A5), adjacent to the Mount Murray Golf Course. The case officer recommended approval, and the committee granted permission subject to three conditions. There is one earlier planning history reference associated with the site.
The Planning Committee approved the application on 19 March 2007, subject to three conditions. The officer also recommended approval. The site is an established transmitter station zoned for that purpose, and the proposal involved temporary rather than permanent structures.
