Ray Corkhill Services Railway Inn Union Mills Braddan IM4 4NE In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr John Alfred Kneen Proposal: Repair and widening of existing / former tracks, and creation of new tracks, and repair to hedges at: Fields 314585314586314583314582315141315142 W Of Ballig Bridge And N Of Poortown Road St Johns Isle Of Man which was considered on 20 April 2006, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The incremental growth of activities suggested by the agent for the location would be unsatisfactory, leading to visual intrusion and environmental consequences in this Area of High Landscape Value and Scenic Significance.
Furthermore, insufficient information has been submitted to assess the impact of this proposal on the surrounding area and therefore it would be premature to consider this application.
NOTE The unauthorised repair and widening of tracks has been carried out without the benefit of planning permission. Within one month of the date that this decision becomes final, there must be submitted to the Planning Authority for approval, a scheme of restoration to cover all unauthorised works. The scheme should also include a timetable of works for the completion of the restoration scheme.
NOTE This review has been considered by the Planning Committee on written evidence. Any additional submissions not previously circulated to interested parties are enclosed herewith.
Note 1: The decision contained in this notice does not become final until:-
- the time for requesting an appeal in relation to any decision at review has expired; or
- any appeal has been completed.
Note 2: Rights of appeal against the decision of the planning committee are attached. Note 3: An appeal may be requested within a period of 21 days.
